News 11.06.2010 METROPOLIYA Business District became the winner of Real Estate Awards 2010 in the category “Best European Smart City” The solemn prize-giving ceremony of Real Estate Awards 2010 took place on June 9 at East End Studios conference centre, Milan. The METROPOLIYA Business District project developed by METROPOL DEVELOPMENT Company was awarded in the category “Best European Smart City”. At the invitation of the organizing committee this Russian project was included in the Real Estate Awards 2010 for the first time this year and became the winner at once. The Golden Brick Award was presented to CEO of METROPOL DEVELOPMENT Company O.O. Korol. Istanbul Varyap Meridian project (Istanbul, Turkey) and Corporate Village Project (Malta) were also presented in the category “Best European Smart City”. The competitive selection was a two-step process. The winner was decided by a live electronic vote. REA 2010 is an annual professional award in real estate sector that allows to determine key companies and projects on Italian and European real estate markets. This year REA 2010 was hosted by the one of the leading publishing houses in Italy - Fiera Milano Editore in collaboration with the organizer of the 6th professional international exhibition Expo Italia Real Estate 2010 (EIRE).
