The METROPOL Group of companies, one of the largest
Russian investment industrial groups, is initiating a new
ultramodern development project.
Scheduled for completion in only 7 to 8 years, the “METROPOLIYA”
project will be a new state-of-the-art business district on an area
covering 21 hectares, and benefiting from being located only 3 km
away from the centre of Moscow and at a junction of two major
highways.
“METROPOLIYA” will be a symbiosis of business, the latest
technology and a unique ecological space.
“METROPOLIYA” will include 700,000 square meters of class A
office real estate, 80,000 square meters of retail space, 80,000
square meters of apartments, 40,000 square meters of 3 and 4 star
category hotels and on-site parking for up to 15,000 vehicles. The
complex will be surrounded by the unique Natural Park.
The design behind “METROPOLIYA” was created by the Japanes
company Nikken Sekkei, one of the largest and most well-known
architectural engineering companies in the world. It is the
company’s first large-scale project in Russia. Nikken Sekkei was
founded in 1900, and during the company’s more than century-long
history it has carried out over 20,000 projects. Modern symbiotic
and energy-saving technologies, ecologically-friendly materials,
unique ventilation systems and engineering decisions will all be
implemented into the “METROPOLIYA” project.
The central tower of “METROPOLIYA” will reach about 120 meters.
Eleven spiral-shaped buildings, located near the central tower,
will together form a shape similar to that of a lotus flower, which
will open to the East, towards to the rising sun.
Investment into the “METROPOLIYA” project will be more than 3
billion US dollars. The world’s leading consulting company CB
Richard Ellis has been appointed as official adviser to the
project.
